Tate's 6 month photo shoot

Actually  about 7 months here. My mom does the most AMAZING job! She is SO talented. Tate hadn't napped all day, so finally I just decided to head over there before he DID decide to crash. He was such a good little supermodel! He was excellent & such a sweet boy! The pictures turned out beautiful! Next, we need a photo shoot of him & Livy together. Thanks Momma! You're the best!

6 month check ups & shots

My sweet, brave boy. He had started feelin a little sick the day before we went to his appt.. We made it clear til February though! I am amazed because Olivia is ALWAYS sick. Always got a snotty nose, cough, or some sort of cold symptom. PLUS, Bobby & I suction out a ton of boogery little kids for nasal washes at work everyday. Anyways, he was still a happy boy & took his shots like a champ. So tough!

 

New outfit from Grammy n Poppy. 9 months but barely fits! I sent my mom this pic because he looks like he is wearing tight 80's sweatpants & is goin to shoot some hoops. He just needs some sweatbands ;)

I can't believe my little baby is 6 months old. Time just goes too fast. It seems like I was just pregnant. Despite the end being hard, I miss it. I know it sounds crazy, especially seeing as how I threw up most of the time, got gigantic, exhausted, got hives & crazy rashes, had swollen legs, ankles, feet, fingers, etc...I miss it! It is an amazing experience. I can't wait to do it again, although maybe I will wait until I get the hang of Tate ;) Like maybe him sleeping through the night, breastfeeding better, going more than 2 or 3 hrs without eating, get some sort of routine or schedule going...if you know Tate this comment is pretty funny :) It's funny to think of what I expected. Planning out the schedule I wanted him on, how quickly I would get in shape, how I would spend  my time off organizing the house, how breastfeeding would make me ultra-thin. Hmmmm, still waiting for all this to happen!

 He is the most wonderful thing that's ever happened to me, but he is definately a challenge. Very much worth it though. He is definately the boss. There's no convincing him of anything. Having him is the most special experience I've ever had & I love him more everyday. I feel so blessed, especially because of my work. I hear parents say how long they tried for, how many times they've done in vitro, foster parents, adoptive parents, etc. Some kids are born into situations where their parents have a very hard time in life with drugs, depression, bad relationships & such. Babies are so special, it just makes me sad. I am so grateful for the parents Bobby & I have, the upbringing & example they gave us. We are truly blessed. We use these tools everyday to try & be the best parents we can be to Tate & Livy. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be a mom. It seems like my relationship & situation with Liv is different than most stepfamilies. I am so lucky that she is a great kid, she loves me, we get along great, & all that she teaches me. She makes me realize what a handful I was for my parents, because she is so GOOD. She has her challenging days too, but she is a wonderful blessing in my life. Okay, so enough gushing, I just can't say enough how much I love being a mom!

 

 Tate is rolling like a maniac. He loooves to be on his tummy. Weird because he HATED tummy time for so long! Now he loves it :)

 He also loves oatmeal! The rice cereal seemed to upset his tummy, but the oatmeal is working great! Carrots mixed into it is his favorite so far. I am surprised how good he is at eating! (whatever, have you met ME? I like me some food. That's for sure :)) But really, he really doesn't make that big of a mess, he is pretty coordinated. It's cool. It's so fun to watch him & he gets better at it everyday.

 He still loves sitting in the bumbo. I actually got him to sit up on his OWN the other day. Just for a few seconds, but he did it!

He is in size 3 diapers, almost out of 6 month clothes, 9 months are more comfortable. Kinda like how Bobby told me he wears a 36 waist, but 38 is more comfortable ;) me & Liv laughed at that one ;) He wears 12 month jammies. We got him more pairs like his Christmas Eve ones that Grammy & Poppy got him, the separates, & they are SOoo cute on his chubby body! We LOVE it!

 

 He loves to read (most of the time) & helps me turn the pages. This is fairly new. Like I said, he just amazes me everyday!

 

 

He smiles, talks, laughs. I LOVE IT! He is getting so fun! More fun, i should say :) He really belly laughs now too. It is SO cute.

 He pretty much has the CUTEST body I've ever seen! His thighs are so squishable & fit perfectly in my hand when I hold him. He just molds to me. I'm at work right now & can't WAIT to get home & hold him & kiss him! His little wrists are getting so tight too & look like little sausage links! Love it!

 

Still loves the bath. He takes baths with Mommy most of the time now. Sorry, tmi?

 

He has taken an interest in HoneyBun & she is absolutely FAScinated with him. She has also been SO good since we had him, but is now being the biggest stinker shit-zu ever. Yes, I know that's not how you spell that ;)

 

He can sit in his walker now (is that what those thing are called? Technically they can't WALK anywhere anymore because they are built to be stationary now. Probably a good idea). It is AWEsome. He enjoys it & it keeps him busy, so mommy can get ready or make dinner or do laundry :)

 

 

 

 

 

Bobby's mom lent us this johnny jump up thing because when she watched him while I went grocery shopping  he was in it forever & loved it. He also actually SLEPT that night too. So, we have borrowed it to give him a little workout regimen to help us in the sleep dept. It used to be Bobby's, & all the grandkids have been in it too. Pretty cool.

 

 

 

H loves to touch his toes & play with his feet. It is cute, but sometimes annoying when you are trying to change his bum :)
