Tater 23 months pics....lots of 'em!
Major photo time here. Tater is 23 months & we've been having a lot of fun!
In this top pic we went to the duck pond with Grammy n Poppy, & Baby Animal Days too (more pics in "Most of May" blog entry). Tater is on the couch where he loves to look out the window. We watch the garbage truck, loud motorcycles, air planes, & he watches me when I water the flowers out front (if he's not helping me ;)). The middle picture is with his cousin Aubree. She babysat him while Bobby went on an extremely rare outing at the SAME time-a date! This was his first time without his sissy there to help, it had been a LONG time since he was last babysat by Aubree, he only cried for 2 minutes, he played with her, and he gave her hugs & kisses goodbye!
Way to go lil man!
Here is our little man doing his "sprout stretches" all by himself! Bobby walked in to find him doing them. SOOO cute! The middle top is of Tater helpin Daddy do laundry, bottom is watching "Zou" before bed, top right is at Walmart with Mommy. He thought Miss Lola's new lampshade was a "hat." He was such a good boy there! We were waiting to pick Dad up from work & it was like 10:45 at night. He was so happy & good. My sweet boy <3
Bottom right is brushin his teeth like a big boy all by himself!
This is Tater enjoying our freshly groomed backyard & patio set, with the ducks, swinging at Grammy n Poppy's, at Houston's t-ball game with Mommy, petting a goat, & just bein cute. I can't believe what a beautiful little boy I have! He is the CUTEST!
Hmm, what is NOT so cute is this fit he threw when I took my ice cream back. We are trying to teach the concept of "SHARING" since someone has learned the word "MINE!"
I was SHARING with him, & still was, but put the ice cream in my own hand & he flipped.
Just bein his cute self
Tubby time! He is being brave these days & lays down in the water tipped way back. He used to just stick his head in a little bit. Bottom right corner is him throwing a gigantic fit over nothing. You can see someone is increasingly approaching his "you-know-what-two's."
It's okay lil buddy, I still love you.
You need to check yourself though sometimes dude ;)
Tater's first firepit experience! He loved it & was so good around the fire. He would say "Hot, hot."
It makes me a nervous wreck, but he really did pretty good staying away from it.
Still a little too close for Mommy sometimes, but Mommies worry.
(That's why most bad things don't happen on OUR watch ;) jk)
Tater 23 months
So this entry turned out to be super long because I had the time (I'm at work at the new ER, almost 37 weeks pregnant, & am enjoying sitting right now ;)) Tater just does so many new things all the time & I keep thinking, "I can't forget to mention that in the blog!" So I'm doing it :) Pics will have to come in the next blog post though because I am on my work computer & my photos are obviously not on here. Also for some reason I can't upload pictures to the blog from my phone unless it is a brand new entry. Maybe I will figure it out one day! For now, here you go!....
He has grown out of those size 6 shoes & wears a 7 now. He mostly wears 3T shirts & jams. Since he got so sick last month he can barely keep size 2 pants & shorts up, although they are a little floody on him ;)
He makes everyone clap for him & will single you out if you're not doing it or not doing it quick enough. He loves to be praised. It is darling! He tells you to "sit" when he wants you to sit by him & do something. He says "Beep" when he wants you to move off the couch so he can line up his cars over & over again. He need the whole chaise part of it. Atleast he is polite & says "Beep" instead of "Move." I'm not even sure where he got that!?
Wow! The vocabulary is EXPLODING! My absoLUTE fave is "Mommy" which he says a million times a day , but I still can't get enough of. I love it. He says "Daddy" a million & one times, he says "Poppy" a ton, & he calls my mom "Mommy" too sometimes, & has said "Mammy." "Grammy" is kind of a tough one, but we are working on it! He can say "night-night," "love you," "cycle" for motorcycle, "shut" which I'm trying to replace with "close" because shut comes out sounding a bit like another word! He says "Mo" when he signs "more," & he says "boo." Oh yes, he says "Cheethe" when you take a picture too! I love it! I also called him "cuckoo" one night so now he says that but somehow squeezes in a "th" sound where the c's are.
He says "Lolo" for Lola & he is saying "Baby" ALL the time now. We are really trying to get him used to the idea of babies. He loves to see them when we are grocery shopping or out & about & pretty much thinks anyone under 4 years old is a baby ;) He got so worried one time because a baby in line in front of us was so upset & crying. He can hear them from across the store too & always says "Baby?" He knows our baby is a girl too because when I'm getting things done in her room I say whose room is this? And he will say "baby" or "Sissy." I think he's going to be the best brother! He also rubs my belly & says "Baby."
It melts my heart <3
He says "Chic" for Chica (so to be honest I have allowed more tv since he was sicky-sick. I'm not as anti as I was because there are actually a lot of cool things that they teach on the baby & sprout channels that are important for kids to learn. Things that I think he might be too little to learn, or that I might not even think about. So, maybe I'm a bad mom but I don't think it's too big of a deal). To follow with that though, He says "Nin" for Nina, who does the good night show on Sprout. They teach cleaning up our toys, washing our faces & brushing our teeth before bed, a little bit of espanol, & they do bedtime "sprout stretches" which Tater loves to do. In fact one night Bobby had him on our bed while I was in the tub, left the room for a sec & when he came back in Tater was doing the stretches by himself! Made me a nervous wreck that he was on our huge bed by himself & standing up doing stretches, but...it WAS cute! It doesn't hurt that Nina is beautiful & skinny too ;) We call her Tater's girlfriend!
He recognizes airplanes in the sky, motorcycles outside (& always says "Loud")
He actually says "Loud" a lot! It is kinda funny because loud noises make him a little nervous.
Loud trucks & motorcycles, the vaccuum, & Bobby was using the skill-saw outside to cut up firewood from our old fence pieces. Tater didn't really like that.
At night we clean up toys, take a bath, snuggle & watch "Thomas the Train" while we get jam-jams on, a new diaper, & all lotioned up. The little sprout episodes are 15 minutes long so they are perfect! Then we watch our favorite "Zou" which is a cute little Zebra. Tater says his name so sweet! He says it with an "s" & "z" sound mixed together. Anyways, we snuggle & watch Zou while he has a bottle & then brush teeth. One of my fave times of day <3
I love to snuggle my baby boy!
The last few days he has been singing the intro to the "Zou" show. They say "OH-oh-Oh, OH-oh-Oh-oh! I've got a friend in you, I've got a friend in Zou." He bobs his head along & sings the "OH oh" part. It is SO cute! He's just getting So big!
Speaking of the "BA" he was doing AWESOME!!! weaning from it before he got sick. He loved his sippy cups, especially the "take & toss" kinds with the straws, but he wouldn't eat or drink ANYTHING while he was sick, so of course we let him have the bottle, & now it's back with a vengeance. His pediatrician hounds me about it & wants him off it by the time the baby gets here. All the ladies at work tell me that's ridiculous & it's not a big deal. My friends all seem to think somewhere in between. I don't know, but it's kind of the least of my worries these days! We've had a lot goin on the last few months.
So back to the bedtime routine. I'll usually take him down to his bed & read him a scripture story out of his little book he loves, or "Goodnight Moon" while he snuggles his gray minky hanging on the edge of the crib. We sing a primary song, he tries to say he wants another ba-ba so he doesn't have to go to bed-the little stink- & then we tickle & giggle for a minute while I tuck him in. I make him blow me a kiss (he really blows it to you too now! So cute) then I take his bink out & say "Love you!" his sounds like "Lu you-lellow-or lolo" depending on the night. I know what he's saying though ;)
He usually settles down & goes to sleep after about 10 minutes (if it's later & we've played hard that day) & sometimes up to an hour and a half! He's still kind of unpredictable just like he has been since he was a baby!
The thing that never changes though is that I love him more each day. He brings so much happiness & joy to my life that I didn't even know was missing. I am absolutely in love with him & love to stare at his perfect little face, smile, & perfectly squishy little body. He has such a fun, funny, good-natured, sweet & spunky little personality & I am so lucky to be his mom. I am so excited to have another baby, especially a little girl this time around. It will be fun to see how different they are. I love being a mom & I thank Heavenly Father every day for that privilege.
Love you my Tater Salad!

Liv's 3rd Term Grades
I made a little collage of Liv's certificates & grades from 3rd term.
We are so proud of how well she does in everything!
Way to go Liv!
Nice "scorpion" too!
Check out the "Highest Honor Roll" & "Good Attendance!"
Our girl is awesome!
Most of May
This was SOOOOO fun! It was crappy weather the whole night before & the morning & then was beautiful! So we made it to the Baby Animal Days in Kaysville! Grammy n Poppy came with us & we had a blast! These are just my phone pics, of course Grammy got lots more good ones that I'll hafta post later.
Tater rode my friend Tif's horse "Autumn."
He didn't like it at first but Poppy & I were on each side holding a hand & he was okay :)
He kept saying "Whoa!" with every step the horse took. It is so fun to watch him have fun. It's my fave. Tater & Mommy also got to ride the choo-choo train! He was not convinced that it would be a good time until we were on it for a minute or two. Then he liked it & kept waving & saying "hi" to everyone. He is so cute. I cannot believe how much joy I get from this little boy...
Bobby was working & Liv had her friend Jessica over. We stopped to visit Daddy at work afterwards though. It made him happy.
Thanks Grammy n Poppy for coming with us! We had a blast!
Houston & Dakota are on a t-ball team! Dakota missed the first two games because he was at home with his new little sister Navy! We look forward to watching you play too bud! Me n Tater made a sign that says "Go Houston" & Go Dakota" on one side & then the other side it says "Go Bees!" which Beau informed me is every team's name in the league, they just wear different colors. I like it though because then we can cheer for EVeryone ;)
Houston hit a home run & is such a fast runner that he passed Brinkley at 3rd! It was so fun & cute to watch, I'm so glad we could make it.
Way to go buddy!
Tater had fun playin & eating snacks with Mae & then Grammy n Poppy stayed to play with us on the playground afterwards. Fun day! :)
Dakota's been havin a fun start to the summer & I just loved these pics so I had to put them together & post them. He got to mow the lawn with his dad, he is on a t-ball team, he got his new custom-made bike that so much love & support brought him! He totally deserves it though & is SUCH a special kid (as are ALL my nieces & nephews :))
And he got a new baby sister!
Fun times Kota!
Tater & I sometimes miss our early church, so we went with Grammy & Poppy this week. And last week ;) I have not slept well since about February so I'm pooped a lot. I get my best sleep at finally at like 5 am. Thankfully their church is at 1pm so we can make that ;)
We took a nap there after church. Poor Gram had meetings & missed out on the playtime after naptime. We got to enjoy some Poppy-time though. Tater loves to play!
THIS WAS SO FUN!!!
We finally made it to the duck pond by Grammy n Poppy's.
Tate loves ducks & we've seen a little excerpt on the Baby Channel with duck in it, so I thought he would like to see them in real life. I had no idea how much he would really like it though!
He gets a little nervous sometimes so I wasn't sure what he would think.
He was so brave though I thought he might fall in! I am not as speedy & agile as I usually am so it made me a little nervous, but thankfully Grammy & Poppy were there & could keep close tabs on him!
I can't wait to take him back! We played on the playground afterwards too. SO fun that it's so close to my parents! Thanks Gram n Pop for always having fun with us!

Tater Tot 21 months
Tater Tot at 21 months old:
1.He is obsessed with bubbles
2.He got super sick this month. Caught Daddy's cold, then started throwing up for a day or two, then ran a fever of 103 for about 4 or 5 days. He wouldn't eat or drink & ended up losing a few pounds. He got so skinny :( Breaks my heart when he is sick! We were so worried that we took him to the ER, which of course was worthless, & of course he got way sicker AFTER we left. He finally got better after about 12 days of this. Poppy had given him a blessing & the next day he started doing much better. So glad, I was getting ready to take him to see his doctor (he is always sick over the weekend so Dr. Nye has never even seen him when he's sick!) That day he woke up & got off the couch & actually played with his vroom vrooms. He had only wanted to lay on the couch, cry, snuggle, & watch tv. It was so sad :( SO SO glad we are blessed with a normally healthy baby boy. It makes you feel so bad for kids that never feel good with diseases, cancers, etc.
3.He has learned to say "LOVE YOU!" It is the cutest thing!
4. His favorite thing to eat is fruit. I can usually get him to drink some veggie juices though. Sometimes it's the only thing he'll eat though!
5. He has this weird habit of eating things & keeping them in his mouth like a little chipmunk. Eventually he gags or chokes on them & I have to catch them in my hand. Yucky :(
The usual culprits are snap peas or cheese. Uggh.
6. I swear he grows while I'm gone to work & gets cuter everyday too. I love you lil man!!!
Preggy Sisters
Text coming later
My mom had a photo shoot of all us girls. Of course I wish I looked better, but it was so special to take & have these photos to keep forever. This pic is actually a pic of a pic. I will add more later. I'm having difficulties uploading from my computer for some reason :(
Thanks though Momma for taking the time to do this. You're the best. Love you
Sicky-sick boy :(
Poor baby was so sick. This was actually in February. Yes, just posting to get caught up from not being able to upload pic. Figured out how on my phone (kind of) but it only works sometimes. I think I may have figured it out though!! I also learned tonight how to post more than one photo per blog entry on my phone. Yay for technology!
So anyways, poor Tater gets SO sick when he gets sick! He gets a temp of 102 give or take, even with Tylenol & ibuprofen. It makes me so sad & I always get nervous thinking back on his first birthday party day where he was so lethargic, so hot, & so sick it terrified me! Of course I'm always by myself when this happens because Bobby & I work opposite, & it always happens to me! I'm a wimp when it comes to my own baby :(
Grammy n Poppy saved the day & brought us more Tylenol at 11:00 at night! Because of course he didn't get a fever until later that night, & Bobby was at work with our only car for the moment. They brought us treats & Tylenol & hung out for a little bit while Tater took a cold bath. They are the best! I don't know what I would do without my parents!
Thankfully he was only sick like that for under a week. Look at that cute cheesy smile on the couch. Such a happy boy even though he's sick
Baby Lola n Mommy's Shower
OH MY GOSH. Miss Lola & I got SO spoiled! Annie, Ashley, & Tisha put together the most beautiful little girl shower for us! All the decorations were in the colors of Lola's room: pink (of course), purple, orange, yellow, & green. It was SO cute! They put so much time & effort into it, they just amaze me. They all work full-time, are busy moms & wives, go to the gym, & just keep it all together so well. They still find the time to be AMAZING friends on top of it all. They are such beautiful girls inside & out (as are all my friends!) & are such great examples to me.
They inspire me a lot when I wonder how I'm gonna do everything. They help me think, "Well, they have more going on than me, & they can pull it off! I better buck up ;)"
Thanks girls for such a super-fun shower!!
List of guest & gifts (for journal purposes):
Ashley Taylor- blue & white polka dot outfit, yellow & gray heart outfit, pink & white flower outfit, & white puffy snowsuit. All darling!
Annie Mecham- stinkin super-cute satiny & lace black & white bloomers & ruffle-y top that I cannot WAIT to see her in :)
Tisha Morley- darling little pink & purple summer romper. Tish also just bought my dinner the other night, so she was NOT supposed to buy a gift!
Jami Fulmer- super-cute yellow whale jammies, a summery short-sleeve set, a long sleeve set, & a handprint making kit.
Heather Tackett- a darling black summer dress with coral, yellow, & blue butterflies & flower accents on it, coral colored jammies, & a coraly-pink & purple hot pant summer outfit that says "sweet like mommy."
Russie Edwards-rubber ducky that tells you if the bathwater is too hot, lavender baby wash & lotion for baby, AND lavender body wash & lotion for Mommy! Newborn diapers, & a loofah.
Melissa Perkins- different colors of pink dress with a little bolero, very cute. Pink & grey cheetah onesie, pants, & cardigan with ruffles on it.
Kami Fister- lavender body wash, bubble bath, & lotion. Over the door storage hanger (John picked out :)), desitin, & a super-soft little butterfly blanket with pink satin trim.
We missed a few girls due to work stuff & vacays ( work ALWAYS gets in the way huh?! ;))
Me & Lola are spoiled girls! Thank you so much for all the thoughtful gifts & celebrating Lola. I love you all & appreciate all you do. Thank you for your friendship!
Special Grandma Marilyn Presents
My sweet Grandma Marilyn came to visit Tate & I one day to drop off a gift for Baby Lola. Tate was such a good sweet boy & so social with her it made me so happy! He gets such anxiety around everyone & gets really upset. He showed Gramma his vroom-vroom's though, & she fed him sixlets, which of course he was a fan of ;)
Gramma gave me this gorgeous pink afghan she knitted. It is so special to have because she said she can't knit anymore, it hurts her hands. She also gave me a beautiful green one for Tate when he was born. Things like this mean more than anything to me. I will treasure them forever.
There is also a pink gingham on one side, & pink with different colors of cute little teddy bears she crocheted the edges of. I DO love pink!
The super-soft minky-like blanket was made by a daughter of one of Gramma's friends that she bought at a church auction.
She also gave a cute little flowered onesie that I love, a terry-material jumper, & some sweet jammies. Oh yes, & some little fishy bath toys which Tate HAD to open & LOVES to play with in the tubby.
Gramma, you are so special to me & I appreciate the time, effort, & love you put into these gifts. Again, they are so meaningful to me & I will treasure them forever.
I love you
Easter
Easter Morning (or afternoon) at the LaRose household. I got home from church & woke everyone up. I didn't take Tater because Bobby had been off the night before so I let him sleep in since Daddy was home. To be honest it is getting a little hard with him by myself, being so huge & with him being a typical almost 2 yr. old ;) Church was really nice though. Holly & Mark Egan, my neighbors across the street who had just recently moved to Syracuse :( came back & spoke. Holly focused on the Resurrection which was very special to her I'm sure because her mom had died a few years back. My heart ached for her as she spoke about her mom. I would be heartbroken to lose mine. It was really nice though, & very nice to see her & her dad Mylan too. He rented Holly's place when her & Mark got married because they each had a house. He was a wonderful, special neighbor too. I will miss all of them.
Anyways Easter afternnon was so fun! I had been pleasantly surprised the day before at my parents Easter egg hunt that he got the whole concept of finding the eggs & prizes & putting them in his cute little puppy dog basket. I bought him some things for his basket, but not really anything to hunt for, so....I put out Grammy n Poppy's eggs again & then hid one of his matchbox cars in one too. He thought it was awesome (and also then that a car would be in every one-he kept saying "vroom-vroom!?")!
He also helped Sissy open her eggs & he licked each one of her Cadbury mini eggs & then handed each one to her. She's a good sis!....Liv got to find her usual "eggs for how old she is" except pregnant girl can't count & hid 14 :) She did so good this year! I was impressed! Searching for ANYthing isn't her strongest point ;) but she did SO good. I hid them myself this year & did a few tricky ones. She has significantly improved this year :)
Happy Easter kiddos. I love you both very much.
Xoxo
Look at this handsome little man! I'm so glad he got feeling better in time for Easter fun! [another post to follow about sick-time #2 this year :( ]
He was SO fun. Of course my cute mom went overboard ;) the kids had a blast though & I did watching them too :)
Pretty Livers
Oh. Huh. I just noticed that instagram pics have that black frame & you can't see my cute collage as good. Well, anyhow my parents planned the funnest day for us. Dakota was so cute & happy, Houston & Mae were so patient while Tater found all his eggs (he was NOT fast ;))
Mom & Dad planned a fun game for the adults where we found eggs & they had money & little instructions in them like Monopoly. They all had to do with babies, like "You ran out of diapers & had to go to the store. Borrow $5 from a friend." It was really fun. Then we all had to find a "special" egg that Livy hid for us. It had a bigger money prize in it. I FOUND THE EGG! I was shocked because I am horrible at anything competitive be it sports, finding something, games. I kind of suck. So I was excited! The game ended with everyone sharing & getting equal money (with the winner of finding the egg getting slightly more ;)) What a fun Easter celebration. Even the babies-to-be got presents hidden all over the backyard. My mom & dad are awesome. They do WAAAY too much for everyone, but we all really enjoyed it & had a great time.
Thanks MOM & DAD!
Love you both so much.
We did Easter at a park in Hooper with the Larose's & had desserts there. Sandi is an excellent baker & brought her yummy sugar cookies. I LOVED THEM :)
They had around 240 eggs to hide! We all brought eggs filled with candy, but I had no idea how MANY people would bring. I brought ten for Tate's protion! Oops. He did only TAKE ten though :)
Since there is only flat fields with no trees or anything the eggs were just scattered everywhere. It was fun to see the kids run like mad to find them. They let the little kids go first to be fair (for about 45 seconds ;)), so Tater, me, n Daddy hustled. He was really cute to watch. I think he kinda has the hang of it all now. Next year will be even more fun I'm sure.
He makes everything fun :)
