18 weeks tummy pic

So I am trying to document my belly growth, although I looked more pregnant in the 15 week photo. In my defense, I HAD just eaten the most delicious navajo taco @ my mom & dad's for Tessie's birthday dinner. De-lish!

Valentine's Day

So our Valentine's actually wasn't that exciting. We were both supposed to work, but I got docked, so we didn't even really see eachother that day. We sort of celebrated a little early & a little late though. Me & Livy made some supercute cake pops to take to the fam & grandparents. It was fun, & she is quite the little Betty Crocker. Those cute little things are a lot of work though! My sweet parents got her a cake pop machine for Christmas & she absolutely loves it. I was so excited too, because I had been looking to buy myself one! Way to go good gifters!....We decided to save the money we would have spent on gifts or dinner & are hoping to maybe take a special trip with Livy before the baby comes, a kind of Valentine's/Mother's Day/Liv's Birthday/Father's Day trip to Mexico. We'll see how my taxes look :) We do have the best gift ever though, growing more & more everyday in my tummy. It was a present to me too, because we got to find out he was a boy so early. Yay!
                                                                     Our cute cake pops!
I made us some strawberry angel food cake the next weekend.
Liv got a little gift (because I can never resist), but that's about as exciting as we got!

Liv

Liv gets more mature everyday. I can't believe what a confident, beautiful little pre-teen she is. I wish I was that self-assured, & gorgeous when I was her age! I eventually blossomed though :) I know she will continue to maintain, & grow into these qualities even more as she gets older. I know teenagers are rough, but I'm really not too worried about Liv. I know she'll be a better kid than I was! She looked so cute the other day (as usual), but she had a special field trip on Valentine's Day to the ballet, the planetarium in Salt Lake, & then got to go to the Gateway food court for lunch. She got a new dress & did her hair so cute so I had to take a picture, & of course have to put it in the blog.

Another fun experience I got to share with her was going to get our hair done. We had Lindsay do it, & she put a few purplish highlights in Liv's bangs, & waxed her eyebrows for the first time (yes I had permission to include this in the blog. See what I mean? What a good sport she is!) It was hilarious. Liv is a pretty tough kid whenever she gets hurt (which seems to be often sometimes), but she usually giggles while I have a pained look on MY face. I held her hand while she sat in the chair, & with every pull she would scoot her body to the bottom of the chair & then giggle painfully. It was too funny to watch. I think me & Lindsay had a good time :) The finished product looked so great though! Lindsay did a perfect job, making it look really natural & her still a kid. I can't believe how mature it made her look though. Pretty girl!
              Pre-waxing, & a little nervous!
Notice she made me hold her hand :)
Finished product, looks great, aaaah the price of being a woman!

It's a....BOY!

So I had been sooo so excited for my next doctor's appt. I was still trying not to get my hopes up that she would be able to tell the sex of the baby since it was still kinda soon (15 weeks). Dr. Boheen was so cute though, & tried & tried to get that little one to show us the goods. Finally it did, & to all our amazement she said it was a boy! We were all so surprised because I had been "zoned" twice and she was convinced I was having a girl; Livy had a few dreams where we had a baby girl; & Bobby had no doubt that it was a girl. I had no idea. I went through a little phase after my first ultrasound, & saw the picture of my sweet baby where I kept referring to it as a boy, & just kind of felt a boy. I dismissed it though after about a week or two, thinking everyone else was probably right. Should have went with my gut :) Whatever it decided to be though- we are so excited & happy. I feel so blessed to be able to have a baby. It 's kind of funny how things are so different when it's you. It's so neat to think he's inside me, moving & growing. I guess in my little internal world, I AM the first person to get pregnant ;) I couldn't be more excited, I want to tell every person I see! I love having a little belly (& not worrying about it!)...I am so happy that Livy is so excited to be a big sister. I feel so blessed that I have such an amazing daughter like her, that has let me practice my mom skills on her first ;) I appreciate what a happy, energetic, positive, helpful, smart, funny, & fun to be with girl she is. I always tell people she is like my little personal assistant. She remembers dates for me, helps me with my hair, always runs errands with me, tells me if my outfit looks good or not; I value her opinion so much. She's my younger bff :) Anyhow, I got on that tangent because I was thinking what a great big sis she's gonna be. Not to mention what a big help she will be to me. We are so lucky to have a sweet baby coming & to have such a wonderful girl like Liv already. WE ARE BLESSED.
