Tate's 18 month check-up (at 20 months!)

March

March is Ashley's birthday month. She turned 26-my baby sister!

I sold my beloved jogging stroller, but it was to a cute new mom who seemed like she would really enjoy it so that made me happy. I LOVED it though & was so sad they don't make a tandem jogger like it :( I'm glad I could sell it & it went to a good home :) I also got almost what I paid for it too, so that helped ease the pain ;)

Tater had a playdate with Houston & Mae that was really fun. We painted the driveway with water (seriously the biggest hit ever), played with cars & trucks, went to pet the horse in the pasture next door (Tate loved it! He kept saying "neigh!!" & wanting to pet him), we rode in Mae's little white convertible, & rode bikes (or some of us got pushed on little scooters) too. I got NO pictures because I locked my keys in the car as soon as I got there. I suck. Later on I found a spare key too that I forgot we had. $45 later :( I don't sleep at night & it is seriously affecting my poor pregnant brain.

Pic of Liv & her daddy from her choir concert which we LOVED! It just got it's own blog entry though ;)

I finished Lola's crib bedding. I recycled & used some of my cradle bedding that my mom made for me when I was a baby. I thought it would be so special for Lola to have that be part of hers. It made it a tricky job, but I'm glad I did it.

I painted Papa Ed's "snack drawers" that I got after he passed away (yes, I know I haven't done an entry about it, or Nannie for that matter. It's hard & I'm not really ready to do that yet. They will come). Anyways, I feel very blessed to have that in my home where I can see it & use it all the time & think of my sweet Papa Ed. It turned out really cute with the blue-ish color.

I got a new double stroller that converts to a sit'n'stand on KSL for really cheap. Like a 1/3 of the price! I was excited & like the colors better than any of the newer ones I've seen, & it is my beloved Baby Trend brand. I know it's not the nicest brand, but it is perfect for me. I love the carseat, I loved the jogging stroller, & so far I really like this stroller.

There's a pic of Daddy & Tater on opening day for the Orioles. They played the Red Sox & I think they won? I'm so bad, I can't remember. Again, the no sleep & fact that we've had some added stress doesn't help, so my brain is on absolute overload.

That darling pic of Dakota is from his bike contest! We had an unbelievable amount of people vote for him to win this. Co-workers, family, friends, friends-of-friends-of-friends...people have been so awesome! Thank you everyone for your votes. Unbelievable experience though. A girl Tessie went to high school with & her hubby wanted to BUY Dakota a bike!!! As long as Tessie withdrew him from the contest & begged all her friends to go on & vote for all the kids who did not have 50 votes yet, so they would have a chance to win the raffle. HOW AMAZING IS THAT!? It is so great to see people come together & accomplish things like this to help eachother & especially those in need. I want to personally thank ALL of my friends again for voting from every device they have & for forwarding it to everyone they knew. Congratulations Kota! You deserve it our sweet angel boy!

Liv's Choir Concert

This choir concert was AWESOME! I really enjoy all of them, but Liv was most excited about this one & now I see why. They did a ton of cool songs including:
Beyoncé-Halo
A Bruno Mars Medley
& Scarborough Fair

She looked darling & did an awesome job. I'm so proud of her. Thanks Gram n Pop for coming to it too! You're the best!

Liv's 3rd Term Grades- Straight A's!!! 4.0!!!!

Olivia Sandra LaRose you never cease to amaze me. SO proud of you! I only got straight A's like once in my life, & I think it was one of my last semesters in COLLEGE! SOOOOOOO proud of you sweetie. You excel in everything you do!
You are smart, funny, talented, beautiful on the outside AND inside, & such a big help to your dad & me. We love & appreciate you very much & think you are the best!
Way to go girl!!!

February

February is Tessie's birthday month, so there she is holding her catheter we got her since she turned the big "3-0" & is SO old now ;)

Tater got new Batman jam jams, & an Elmo hoodie Mommy found on clearance. He LOOOVES Elmo. We have several Elmo books, including an Elmo Baby book to get him used to the idea of how FUN babies are :) I sure hope he thinks so when she's here! I think he will be the sweetest big brother, & of course Liv will be an awesome big sis (again ;)) She helps a ton with Tate & he sure loves his sissy.

We went to church with Uncle Zach too while Tessie & Dakota were in Arizona. We had a fun time & Tater went to the NURSERY! He flipped out when I went to use the bathroom & was just getting used to it all & comfortable when it was time to go. Of course. We will keep trying though! It was nice for him to go. Ours is at 9AM (always, never changes) & it is tough for us to make it that early, so it was fun to go to Zach's ward with him. 11am is a lot easier church time for US!

We celebrated Valentine's with Grammy & Poppy (with unnecessary gifts of course. Thank you Gram n Pop!)

The piggy is Dexter. He is SO cute I just had to take a pic of him. One of the nurses at my OB's office got him. Supposedly they are better pets than dogs! Cleaner, litter box trained, & love to snuggle. She can't leave him home alone until he is 5 months old so he gets to hang out in her office (& occasionally sneak out, which is how I got to meet him). He is SO cute & I was excited to show his pic to the kids.

Bobby got to go see "Rehab" at their supposed last show in Salt Lake at Urban Lounge. He went with Kenny & had a really good time. More to that story, but we'll leave it at that.

Tate got really sick this month. He gets the highest fevers, it makes me so nervous! They stay super high even with Tylenol & Ibuprofen. It came all of a sudden & I had just given him the last dose of Tylenol. I didn't have a car at the time because Bobby had it at work, so sweet Grammy & Poppy brought us some Tylenol & treats at 11PM! I honestly don't know what I would do without my mom & dad. They are the biggest blessings in my life!

Those are the new curtains I made for the loft. Baby Lola's room was my extra stick-everything-in-there-room when Bobby & Liv moved in/craft room/storage, so I've been working on cleaning it out for her & turning the loft into a craft room/office/playroom & doing some re-vamping up there. The new colors are black, yellow, & gray. When it's all done I will post a pic. I really like the new color scheme (well, partially new, I of course wanted to be frugal & work with a lot of what I had. It was easy to manipulate though :))

This was the last month of Liv's cheering at games, ending with boys basketball. I have a pic of my mom holding Tater & I'm shocked I don't have one of her? I am the dorky mom taking photos the whole time. I'm guessing I was focusing on videotaping her cheers, which I upload to youtube & post. I've tried a few & am having difficulties learning on my new phone, & my computer won't upload pictures & videos a lot of the time, hence the single event blog entries. It's the only way I can post from my phone!
Anyways, happy Valentine's Day!
Atleast to everyone else! This valentine didn't even get a card :(

Tater 20 months

These pics are of Tater & I going to the park, having a picnic, doing puzzles, snuggling Daddy, shopping at Lowe's in the vroom-vroom cart, & just his cute face :)

We went to the park & met a little boy in our neighborhood named Jackson. I think he was around 6 years old. Tate watched everything he did! Going down the slide, across the bridge, writing in the sand with a stick, playing lacrosse with his dad. It was pretty cute. He watched him so intently.

One day we went for a walk in his little red car & then had a picnic on the lawn. He had so much fun walking around like a big boy in the yard. He was pretty good at minding me about staying in our yard, on the grass. He is such a sweetheart.

He still loves puzzles & cars.

Absolutely loves his dad.

He loves the shopping carts at Lowe's when he came with me to run errands. He watched all the other kids in their car carts too & seemed fascinated. He is so fun to watch, I just get the biggest kick out of him.

What's new with Tate:

1. He LOVES bubbles.

2. He still wears size 5 diapers, 2T clothes are getting a little short, but 3T's are too big. He can wear them but they're pretty roomy. Size 7 shoes fit more comfortably than the 6's. I swear he grows every night! Especially when I'm at work.

3. He says lots of words now. bubbles & vroom vroom are newer ones.

4. Still loves the Children's Museum, especially the trains.

5. Still loves the walks in his little red car.

6. He is really enjoying his cousins & interacting with them.

7. He is getting skinnier from running around everywhere & being a bit of a picky eater sometimes.

8. He is learning to throw some major tantrums these days. Sometimes we just have to laugh at him.

9. He is the little love of my life. He brings me so much happiness, everyday. He makes everyday better. I look at him & I cannot believe how blessed I am to have such a perfect little man who is so much fun to be with. Love you Mr. Salad!

January

In January we got to play in the snow & wear our beloved snowboots Tisha lent us, do plenty of puzzles (over & over & over ;)), & we got to visit uncle Ry-ry's motorcycle shop a few times. Lindsay & Ryan took Tater to a birthday party too while they were babysitting him. He is pretty attached to my mom & dad & experiences a bit of stranger danger to people who aren't even strangers! So I am trying to broaden his babysitters. He also went to Aunt Mandi's to be babysat too (maybe that was February?) It's so hard to remember when I have to back-date. We went to Houston's 4th birthday party, & to Grampa Bob's birthday party too. Check out the new Markakis jersey Daddy bought him. I have to say he looks stinkin cute in it!
Happy New Year!!!

Tater 19 months

I swear I will come back to this & update on my Tatersalad when I can think more clearly & it's not 5 AM & I'm at work

Mommy n Lola 29 weeks

Lola 27 weeks

This last dr appointment was my glucose testing. I didn't realize I got an ultrasound with this one so I was SO excited! She is absolutely beautiful & looks so much like Tate's profile. I can't wait to meet this little girl. What a blessing it is to be pregnant & I get one of each of the littles. SO excited, blessed, & happy!
She is still measuring a week ahead & is head down now. Dr. Boheen said that we could possibly do a V-BAC. I'd like to experience childbirth the way it was intended, but I will be okay with a C-section too. I'm not sure what to do though. I've learned that my C-section was so painful to heal from because I had labored for a day & a half before I had it. I never dilated past a 6, so Mr. Salad had to be a section. She also thought he would be gigantic, so figured he probably wouldn't fit anyways. When you have a V-BAC they like you to go into labor on your own. Since I was started last time, people have told me maybe my body just wasn't ready, or neither was Tate. If I start labor on my own I could likely have a regular vaginal birth. She is estimated to be around 9 lbs though by then, so you can see why I'm nervous to do it all again that way if I ended up having another C-section. I want to heal as quick as possible to take care of her & Tater. Sooo, wish me luck!
Can't wait to meet you baby Lola!
I love you my little princess!

Mommy n Lola 24 weeks

Lola 20 weeks

This is Baby Lola at our 20 week ultrasound. This is where they look at all the organs in detail, & make sure everything is looking as it should. Everything looked great! A relief for any mom to hear (not that things still can't go wrong, but it is a reassurance).
She estimated her to be about a pound and a half, & measuring a week ahead (Tater always did too).
She was breech, which kinda sucks, but there is always plenty of time for her to move around. It looks like she's blowing bubbles, but it's really her umbilical cord. It's cute either way :)
Love you little girl!

Snow Fun with the Weeks

Yes this is extremely out of place, but it has taken me a million attempts to upload (as have the rest of ALL my pics (hence the forever gap in blogging)! I'm having a lucky night at work so I'm shootin em out left & right! ;))
The Weeks invited us up to their house for snowmobiling, sledding, lunch, & hot chocolate. It was SO fun! It was Tate's first time really playing in the snow & I was SO excited to see his reaction...well, bummer. He HATED it all at first. He bawled most of the time, but then eventually warmed up to it & enjoyed it. Mtn Green is gorgeous & we of course had so much fun as a family. Karen was even there so it was awesome!
Thanks Weeks Fam!

Bathtub fun

I have so many cute pics of Tater in the tub. It is usually his favorite place to be. Bobby & I try to send each other pics every night when the other is at work, so most of them are cute tubby pics :)

Treehouse Children's Museum

Tate & I frequent the Treehouse Children's Museum & it is SO MUCH FUN! He loves it & I love watching him! Sometimes we meet friends there, but playdates are hard to coordinate with naptimes & crazy schedules, so most of the time it's just me & him. We always meet people though & have a great time. I love it for soooo many reasons! He gets more social & brave, learns to share, gets to experience all different sorts of learning toys, & gets a little more independent each time we go. His favorite things there are the little magnetic trains (which are basically right at the front & I swear if I didn't make him venture out we would stay there the entire time!). He loves it when we run from leaf to leaf on the way in (there are painted on leaves on the sidewalk). He giggles as we run from one to the next.  He also loves the farm toys, the blocks, & the fish. I feel so lucky that we have such a fun, affordable place (tax deduction on the pass;)) right down the street. It is so much fun to hang out there with my perfect little man!

St. Paddy's Day Fun!

My mom & dad are so fun! This was the St. Patrick's Day party they had planned for all the kids. They make every single little holiday so much fun! Even Yom Kippur (jk)
They greeted us in their green wigs (which Tater & Maelee did not like at all), then we had sloppy joes on green buns, with green broccoli salad, green grapes, green tortilla chips, green snap peas, & celery. Grammy never disappoints!
The kids all got a little St. Patty's gift of course, absolutely unnecessary Mom!
Then we went over to see the Ledger's new baby chicks. They were so cute! Tate got scared with so many people in their house to see the brand new babies, so Poppy took him to see the chicks that were a little older & outside. Then of course we had to say hi to BeyoncĂ© & the rest of the goats! It was so much fun! (Except for when clutzy Jen here was running around chasing Houston & slipped & almost fell right on Baby Lola in her belly!) I was fine except a little road rash on my arm & a bruised boobie!
Thanks for all the fun Mom & Dad!
