Lola is 6 months old!
*She is super smiley & giggly (when she feels good;))
*She wears a size 3 diaper
*She wears 6-9 month clothes
*She is 17 lbs (76th percentile) & 27 inches long (94th percentile)
*She loves the bath (even with her brother splashing her ;))
*She likes to sit up in her bumbo & playing in her exersaucer bouncer walker thing :)
*She still loves to be held & snuggled
*She loves to blow raspberries/zurbits
*She loves her sissy & her brother
*She loves to chew on her hands & anything in sight
*She loves to eat her feet
*She has tried oatmeal twice & actually did really really well with it! She seemed to like it. After all our Christmas craziness we will focus on it more.
*She loves her wub-a-nub binkie that was Tater's (& he did NOT care for it). If you don't know what it is it's just a hospital type binkie & it has a tiny stuffed animal attached to it so it gives it a slight bit of weigh to help it stay in their mouths. Awesome. Found it at Ross for like 5 bucks. Hers is a froggie.
*She likes to roll over
*She loves to bang toys against things
*She is sleeping in her big girl bed! We had to wait until she could console herself & not cry all during the night because her room is right next to Liv's.
She really seems to like it & loves to sprawl out her arms & legs.
*Speaking of sleep, she will usually go about 8 hours give or take. I try (try ;)) to get her down by 10pm & she wakes up anywhere from 5am-8ish. I usually nurse her when I get home from work around 7:30am. She wakes & will sometimes be satisfied with her bink until it's time to eat (obviously I am trying to space out her feedings & make her go through the night.
We still have some bad nights, but overall she has SIGNIFICANTLY improved! Hooray!!!
*Naps are getting kind of consistent (cross fingers). 12:30-1ish pm & I try to get her to be on Tate's same schedule & go down for a nap at 3:30-4pm also. Sometimes but not always she will nap around 7:30ish too. Her naps are usually around 45 mins to an hour (always better for dad). I try to start getting them both ready for bed at 9pm & in bed by 10pm. Sometimes our nights are crazy though with an emotional 2 year old & a screaming baby & me trying to keep them quiet while our teenager sleeps for school the next day. Good times ;)
*She seems so alert & observant. Especially while we are trying to nurse;) She doesn't mind my voice, but if Dad or brother are talking or she sees the TV it's over.
*Most of all she is so perfect. She is beautiful. I love her chubby jowel-y cheeks & how they frame her beautiful little lips. She has the most beautiful olive skin. Her hair is getting really long (I think;)) & it looks so cute & fuzzy after the bath...She reminds me of a little monkey wanting to drape on Mommy & be carried everywhere.
I love you Miss Lola Lyn & I am so very very blessed you are my daughter.
